Facing potential copyright infringement issues, the University of Richmond said goodbye to their furry spider mascot, Spidey. Earlier this month the university welcomed a new spider Mascot, WebstUR.
WebstUR was revealed at a Reunion Rally on June 4. He’s kinda scary. It’s definitely an improvement on the intimidation factor but we’re not sure how the kids will react to it.
